Unplugged in New Zealand
New year, new beginnings. This time last year we crossed the Gulf Stream and into a whole new world of life at sea. This year will follow a similar theme in that we have crossed over the [other] ocean all the way down to the Southern Hemisphere, where we will embark on a whole new type of adventure: hiking the southern island of the Te Araroa (to start with)
One thing that we loved while traveling on the boat was the inability to connect to the virtual world. Sure we would chime in here and there, but for the most part, there was no virtual world to connect to. And that’s kind of the point of all of this. So we have made the same decision for this expedition; to disconnect.
Don’t worry, we will make sure to post updates here and there, and will DEFINITELY dive deep into full-blown blogging when we return. Since we won’t have any computer or ability to edit/upload photos, it will be difficult to update this blog to its high-standard that I especially enjoy, (hopefully you do as well). I may write short posts from time to time, when we have time. But in the mean time, feel free to keep tabs on us via social media: Instagram and Facebook, primarily. Here’s some helpful links if you don’t follow us already:
