All About The Boat
Sailing Vessel Bosco
Meet Our Boat!
Sailing vessel Bosco is a 1987 Island Packet 31. Her huge interior and solid construction are the biggest part of her allure, and trust me when I tell you that she has the accommodation of a much bigger boat!
s/v Bosco sleeps 4 comfortably with a V-berth (with a brand new latex mattress) up front and an aft quarter-berth which can be closed quarters when guests stay with us. This clever layout also offers a large, open navigation station with a fold-down chart table. s/v Bosco has plenty of headroom, a generous-sized head to starboard (that means if you are facing the bow – or front – of the boat, it is to the right), tons of hanging lockers, a full-sized wrap around galley and very comfortable opposing settees. Her cockpit is generously sized at over 7 feet and her maximum beam (widest part of the boat) is a little over 11 and a half feet. She also has a cockpit shower, stern rail gate and a swim ladder.
We have decided to dedicate our boat to our dear family member, Bosco, who we lost in February of 2011. He was 17 years old, aussie-german-malamute mix. We adopted Bosco at age 9, right before we moved to Boulder and ever since we have been exploring and adventuring with our trusted friend by our side. Its only fitting that we dedicate our boat and our next adventure to this special soul who will be traveling with us in spirit.
